Every few years we experience the birth of new musical talent who transport us to new horizons in music, with refreshing sounds and techniques that leave us mesmerized. In 2011, the world was blessed with the gift of the Nwokike’s – Ivana and Jessica Nwokike, popularly known as VanJess. They are the Nigerian-American R&B duo who began their career on YouTube and quickly gained popularity after their cover of Drake's "Headlines" went viral.

Ever fearless, the talented duo hired a manager and ventured into the crazy world of music.

In 2015, VanJess released their debut EP 00 till Escape which was well received globally. Having gained a strong following globally, the sister act of Igbo origin went on to release their debut album ‘Silk Canvas’, an album of original material, in 2018. The album included collaborations with Masego, GoldLink, Lil Simz, Leikeli47, and Berhana and included soul lifting music that we love like: “Cool off the Rain”, "Adore", "Touch the Floor", "Through Enough", "Addicted", "Easy", and "Control Me".
